How I want my classes to make you feel
I want you to feel stronger, challenged, invigorated, and soothed. Through the Hatha-style practice, we will combine movement with breath, exploring a variety of postures that cultivate strength, flexibility, positivity, and calm. We will hold poses for longer, focusing on alignment that builds confidence during the movement. My desire is to encourage everyone to practice according to their body, adapting and amending sequences to suit each member of the class.
What’s truly different about my classes? I like to think that ‘I walk the talk’ and embrace all parts of yoga in my life and integrate those components into my classes. Importantly for you, the classes are small, friendly, and supportive.
I’ll sprinkle in some yogic philosophy, poetry, and other inspirations during class and provide a focus to ‘still the fluctuations of the mind’ (Patanjali).
Each of the classes is designed to set you up for the day.

Guildford Yoga Classes
Wednesday Morning 8.10am & 9.45am
My Wednesday classes are one-hour long followed by a 10-minute, guided relaxation accompanied by a shoulder press & neck stretch, and an eye pillow to soothe. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class starts. Bring your own yoga mat and warm fleece blanket. I will provide any other props that are required.

1:1 SESSIONS
PERSONALISED YOGA PRACTICE
The private lessons are a fabulous way to make the yoga practice work for you and really benefit from the richness of the Yoga. If you’re new to yoga, 1:1 sessions are a great way to ‘get to know’ yoga and hasten your understanding and knowledge of what is involved and get used to the terminology. You can then to move to classes should you wish.
There is nothing more nourishing than being taught Yoga in the comfort of your own home. I will bring any props that are needed for the practice and you can rest assured safe in the knowledge that all you need to do is bring your body (and mind!) to the mat. Let me take care of the rest.
We get the chance to discuss a few philosophical aspects within yoga if you wish but always Pranayama, Asana and Meditation. At the end of each session, you will benefit from a few delicious moments of deep relaxation that truly nourish your body and mind; setting you up for the day ahead.
Lessons are approx. 75 minutes.

After many attempts at yoga throughout the years - I have finally found a class which is teaching me the correct moves, posture and breathing in a measured and personal way. It is not rushed nor frantic and I am never made to feel inadequate or hopeless due to my lack of flexibility and knowledge. Indeed, these are aspects which are focused upon positively with encouragement given to ways of improving.
